James Norman Collision from the sea south of Majoe Island. Their Beaufighter
A19-187 was shot down on the 11 March
1945 after a strafing
sweep of Lake
Tondano east of Tomohon, when they were hit in the starboard engine by anti
aircraft fire. This photo was most likely taken by the Navigator of
Beaufighter A19-140 as his pilot flew surveillance around the rescue.
