1945 - Palawan Is. P.I. A rare color photo of 2nd ERS "Cats"; Light grey
Catalina in the foreground was late model OA-10A with radar dome over the cockpit. It was
painted in Townsville, Australia after arriving from the States. Early OA-10's in
background with dark blue paint. Some of the engine nacelles were painted white
underneath, and some were not. Some OA-10's had 2 thin white stripes on the tail above the
SerNos. Notice the tail art on the one on the left. That's "Rosie" in the
middle. |
