111 Lieutenant Frederick F. Hoss shortly before he was killed. On the night of 26 October 1944, his aircraft, OA-10A 44-33877 ran out of fuel and crashed in the open sea. All the crew was killed except Co-pilot, Mickey Finn and Navigator Al Haas.
