A.Yelvington, pilot of
"Playmate Special", departed
Zamboanga
(Mindanao) at 0830, arriving at Sanga Sanga, Tawi Tawi
at 1115. Unable to get his nose wheel down, he was obliged
to land in the bay just off the town. After the transfer of eight wounded soldiers of the
41st Division from the beach in the Catalina, he departed arriving at Zamboanga at 1755.
The wounded were transferred to the Station Hospital.
