 20 APRIL 1945 - Captain
George A. Barnes, pilot of "Playmate 47", departed Zamboanga
(Mindanao)
at 1210 and landed in
the water off Jolo Island at 1255, where Cpl Ernest L. Fink was transferred from a landing
barge to the rescue ship. Corporal Fink was severely wounded during the landing operation on Jolo Island and was taken to Zamboanga and transferred to the Hospital for treatment.
