22 AUGUST 1944 - Captain Gerard F. Wientjes, with his crew of six men evacuated one wounded man and ten men sick with Typhus fever from Warsaw Bay on the North coast of Biak Island at 1130. The evacuees were transported to Owi Island where waiting ambulances of the 92nd General Hospital took charge of them.
