The "P" proof on top of the slide that, if correct,
should match the "P" proof below the magazine release
on the frame. A "P" that does not have the same font should be a giveaway
that the slide does not match the frame. Singer was the only producer of
M1911A1's to face the "P" the opposite direction on the slide with the round
part toward the rear sight. |
