The right side of the gun shows the "UNITED STATES
PROPERTY" as well "M1911A1 US ARMY". Colt's serial numbers all had the
underline under the "o". Not the correct Coltwood grips with the large
reinforcing rings around the grip screws. Behind the top of the grip you can
see the crossed cannon Ordnance mark that appears to have been struck more
to one side than the other. This is a common occurrence on a lot of
M1911A1's. |
