VP (Inside triangle) Colt's verified proof found on the
upper left side of the trigger guard on both M1911 and M1911A1 Colt
production. The "W" above the proof is one of Colt 1911A1 final inspection
marks, C-1937-45. Mark is stamped above the "VP" AFTER FINISH. |
