The
mainspring housing is the late type with 7 ribs. These were used both by
Ithaca as well as late Colt 1911A1s. The hammer is a serrated type used by
Ithaca and manufactured by Wright Engineering Co. (These were intermixed
with checkered hammers subcontracted from Colt during 1944 and 1945, which
include hammers by Gray Manufacturing Company.) |
